COSMOS 3D contributes to the development and pre-industrial validation of 3D-printed modular components, integrating digitalization and traceability technologies to ensure end-to-end quality control and process repeatability in off-site construction.

Project Scope and Capabilities: A strategic project focused on transforming the traditional construction model toward an Industry 4.0 approach. COSMOS 3D contributes its expertise in robotic extrusion and 3D concrete printing, collaborating on the development of automated manufacturing processes that reduce waste generation and enable recycled materials to be reintegrated into the building value chain.

“Sustainable Manufacturing of Precast Concrete Elements Using 3D Printing for Foundations and Industrialized Floor Systems”

Project Scope and Capabilities: Focused on optimizing critical structural elements through 3D construction in a controlled environment. COSMOS 3D’s involvement focuses on the design, engineering, and manufacturing of optimized geometries for foundations and floor systems, achieving components with reduced material usage and a lower carbon footprint, without compromising strength or compliance with the requirements of the Spanish Building Code (Código Técnico de la Edificación).

“Development of a Self-Managed TEIC Platform with Artificial Intelligence for Configuration, Cost Estimation, and Technical Support of 3D Construction Solutions” Project Scope and Capabilities: A project focused on integrating Software and Advanced Digital Technologies (TEIC) to remove barriers to the adoption of 3D construction. COSMOS 3D leads the conceptualization and implementation of AI-based tools that automate the conversion of architectural models into parameters directly applicable to 3D printing, enabling technical cost estimates, material consumption calculations, and manufacturing feasibility validation.

3D-AirPURE

“Development and Validation of Eco-Efficient Construction Solutions Based on CO2- and NOx-Absorbing Cements Using 3D Printing to Improve Urban Air Quality”

Project Scope and Capabilities: Applied research focused on urban decarbonization through the combination of materials science and additive manufacturing. COSMOS 3D develops an optimized 3D extrusion process for new photocatalytic and air-purifying cements, validating the solution in a representative environment (TRL 6) through a real-world pilot planned within Valencia’s Urban Sandbox.

Future Sustainable Construction: 3D Printing, BIM, Digital Twins, Artificial Intelligence, and Other Enabling Technologies for Energy Efficiency and Environmental Impact Project Scope and Capabilities: Research into the convergence of Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) applied to the AECO sector. COSMOS 3D contributes the physical execution and data integration layer, connecting BIM models and 3D printers with energy simulation systems and Digital Twins to assess and reduce the environmental impact of construction throughout its entire life cycle.
