Cosmos 3D Collaborates in Marine Regeneration Research Through 3D Reef Construction

At Cosmos 3D, we apply 3D construction to sustainability and environmental protection. Recently, we participated in a proof of concept in collaboration with Ocean Ecostructures as part of the ECOFOSS project, funded by PERTE NAVAL, which aims to develop a high-voltage, zero-emission floating electrical substation for the transmission of marine renewable energy.

As part of the project, Ocean Ecostructures is leading initiatives to restore marine infrastructures, including research on new materials together with Cosmos 3D for the fabrication of 3D structures that support the regeneration of marine reefs.

3D Structure Construction for Marine Reef Regeneration

Within the framework of ECOFOSS, focused on marine restoration through the development of sustainable infrastructures, Cosmos 3D collaborates with Ocean Ecostructures by constructing 3D structures using innovative materials, such as low-impact concretes. These structures are being evaluated to assess their biological colonization and potential contribution to the regeneration of marine biodiversity

Thanks to our modular 3D construction technology and the use of sustainable materials, we produce customized structures with precision, suitable for the marine environment, while reducing material waste and optimizing production times. This innovation enables the exploration of efficient solutions for marine ecosystem restoration.

Innovation and Sustainability for the Future of the Marine Ecosystem

The collaboration with Ocean Ecostructures represents a step toward integrating 3D construction and the development of sustainable materials for marine ecosystem conservation. Cosmos 3D will continue driving solutions that combine innovation, sustainability, and environmental protection to help preserve marine reefs.
